We’ve been busy working on some new things here at Roake Studio, so we thought we would tell you all about them. Unlike the traditional fashion model though, we haven’t made hundreds of these already - as a slow fashion brand, we design items that we (and you) will love to wear for years. That’s why most of our styles carry through season after season, as we expect these new styles to do.

We don’t need to predict how many we think we will sell, risking overproduction and unsold items, because we cut out and make after you’ve placed your order. We can tweak leg and sleeve lengths at your request so that you get the perfect fit. And we use all of our offcuts to make zero waste accessories like our scrunchies and neckerchiefs.

So meet three new styles that we think you will love as much as we do: Amy, Matilda and Elsie (the cardigan edition).

The Amy Balloon Trousers

We love a balloon trouser, but we know they can be a little intimidating to wear. That’s why we’ve spent a lot of time developing our new Amy trousers to be just the right kind of statement trews. Like our ever-popular Amber trousers (don’t worry, they’re not going anywhere), Amy has a comfy elastic waist, pockets (naturally) and a voluminous, not too-luminous, shape.

We’ve also introduced some delicious new linens for autumn - choose from Crocus Stripe, Pond Check, Khaki Stripe and Raspberry Chocolate Check, as well as some of our old favourites like Greige Gingham. As we make to order here from our little studio on the Isle of Wight, we can add or take away leg length so you can get the perfect fit. And it goes without saying that we love Amy as part of a matching set; all of our tops are available in the same fabrics so you can create the perfect co-ord for you. We have a few more fabrics dropping in October, too, so watch this space.

The Matilda Tie Jacket

We launched our Nicole jacket six years ago and it’s always been one of our most popular items, so we thought we’d try a little asymmetric variation on this old favourite. We love the boxy, oversized shape and of course, if you’d like to add more length, or have some taken away, we can sort that out for you if you request it when you order.

The Matilda Tie Jacket comes with the convenience of an inner and outer tie, meaning you can secure it neatly in place without the need for buttons or a zip, which often contain plastic. Available in all nine of our organic quilted cotton fabrics, as well as three options of colours for the ties.

The Elsie Cardigan

Fans of our Elsie jumpers will love our new Elsie cardigan. Because what could be better than the feel of a cardi with added luxury details like our responsibly sourced quilted cotton and a flattering pleated sleeve?

Elsie is the perfect throw-on for cool summer evenings, but she’s going to be just as great layered up for winter. A true year-rounder! As with our Matilda jacket, you can choose from nine snuggly quilted options, and the colour of the ties is up to you, too.
